Match moved to Eastern Hills Indoor for 5 PM start due to temperature

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis is set to host Butler on Sunday, March 17 has been moved indoors due to temperature, now set to be played at 5:00 PM at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club.

The Musketeers are 10-4 on the season with a 2-0 record against BIG EAST teams.

Butler is 10-8 on the season with a 1-3 record against BIG EAST squads.
The Bulldogs went 11-12 overall with a 4-2 record in league play last season. Butler took a 4-0 win over Providence in the BIG EAST First Round before Falling to DePaul, 4-2, in the Quarterfinals.
Xavier took the 7-0 sweep in the last match-up with the Bulldogs, marking the 11^th-straight win in the series.

LAST TIME OUT

Xavier women's tennis fell to Notre Dame, 4-0, at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky., last Sunday.
In doubles action, the teams split the first two decisions, with Emily Flowers and Sofia Mazzucato combining for a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court, and Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk falling, 6-2 on the No. 1 court. The Fighting Irish took a 7-6 (3) win over Ellie Brotherton and Abby Nugent on the No. 2 court to clinch the point.
In singles, Notre Dame picked up wins on the No. 2 court, 6-3, 6-3, against Anna Roggenburk, on the No. 3 court, 7-5, 6-0, against Abby Nugent, and on the No. 6 court, 6-2, 6-3, against Emily Flowers to seal the win at 4-0.
When the match was decided, Imani Graham was tied 4-4 in a second set after falling in the first on the No. 1 court. Abigail Siminksi led 5-3 in the second set after falling in the first on court No. 4 and Sofia Mazzucato led 2-1 in the second set after falling in the first on No. 5.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
