Musketeers and Wildcats set to play at 3:00 p.m.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Xavier women's tennis faces BIG EAST foe Villanova on Thursday, March 7 at the USTA National Tennis Campus in Florida, set for a 3:00 p.m. start.
Xavier is 9-3 on the season after sweeping Cleveland State last weekend for the Musketeers' third-straight win.

OPPONENT INFO
- Villanova is 2-7 with wins over Providence and Howard. VU will face Creighton and Stonehill on Wednesday in Orlando.
- The Wildcats went 8-14 overall last season with a 1-5 record against BIG EAST schools during the regular season. VU fell, 4-0, to Marquette in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament.
- Xavier enters the season on a five-match win streak against the Wildcats after taking a 7-0 win in the last match-up, played in 2019.

- Xavier women's tennis picked up a third-straight win, topping Cleveland State, 7-0, on Saturday.
- In doubles action, Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk picked up their 10th straight win in No. 1 doubles, taking the first decision 6-2. CSU took a 7-5 win on the No. 3 court against Emily Flowers and Blessing Nwaozuzu, but Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton took a 7-6 (4) win on the No. 2 court to take the point for the Musketeers.
- Emily Flowers made it a 2-0 Xavier lead with a 6-1, 6-3 win on the No. 6 court. Abby Nugent took court No. 3, 6-0, 7-6 (2) to push the Musketeers' lead to 3-0.
- Abigail Siminski clinched the match for Xavier with a 6-0, 6-3 win on the No. 4 court.
- Imani Graham took the No. 1 court, 6-3, 7-5. Sofia Mazzucato won her eighth-straight singles match with a 6-2, 7-5 win on the No. 5 court. Anna Roggenburk picked up the final decision, taking court No. 2 6-4, 2-6, 11-9.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
