Baseball Falls in Game Two at No. 2 LSU

Series finale set for 1 PM ET on Sunday
BATON ROUGE, La. -  Xavier baseball fell in game two at No. 2 LSU, 8-2, on Saturday evening at Alex Box Stadium. The Musketeers moved to 7-8 on the season.
LSU took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, adding runs in the second, fourth and fifth to build the lead to 8-0.
In the sixth, Hayden Christiansen hit a one-out single, followed by a single from Isaac Wachsmann to put two aboard. Christiansen moved to third when Jared Cushing reached on a fielders choice, putting runners on the corners for Matthew DePrey.
DePrey singled into right, his third hit of the day, to drive in Christiansen, and Garrett Schultz followed with a single up the middle to score Cushing, cutting the LSU lead to six.
Neither team scored a run in the final three innings to set the final score at 8-2.
The series finale with the Tigers is set for Sunday, March 10, at 1:00 p.m. ET.
