Women's Tennis Wraps Up Regular Season at Marquette and DePaul

Musketeers face Golden Eagles on Friday, Blue Demons on Saturday
CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's tennis heads to a pair of BIG EAST opponents to wrap up the regular season, facing Marquette in Milwaukee on Friday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. ET and then traveling to DePaul to face the Blue Demons on Saturday, April 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
The Musketeers are 14-5 on the season after taking a 7-0 sweep of Dayton last weekend.

MARQUETTE INFO
- The Golden Eagles are 6-15 on the season with a 2-3 record in conference play.
- Marquette went 9-13 overall last season with a 2-5 record against BIG EAST teams during the regular season. MU advanced to the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament with a 4-0 win over Villanova.
- Xavier enters the season with a three-match win streak over the Golden Eagles after taking the regular season match, 4-3, last season, then defeated MU in the BIG EAST Championship Quarterfinals, 4-0.
DEPAUL INFO
- DePaul is 15-6 overall with a 7-0 record against BIG EAST teams this season.
- The Blue Demons went 12-10 overall last season with a 6-1 record against BIG EAST teams in the regular season. The Blue Demons topped Butler, 4-2, in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals before falling, 4-3, to Creighton in the Semis.

LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier took a 7-0 sweep of the Dayton Flyers on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility. The Musketeers moved to 14-5 with the win.
- In doubles play, Xavier picked up a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court for Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk, the duo's 13th win of the season, and a 6-1 win on the No. 3 court for Sofia Mazzucato and Emily Flowers to clinch the point, the pair's fifth-straight win and 10th overall.
- Abigail Siminski took a 6-1, 6-0 win on the No. 4 court to pick up the first singles decision and make it a 2-0 Xavier lead, marking her 10th win of the season, including the last six decisions. Imani Graham made it a 3-0 Musketeer lead with a 6-1 6-0 win on the No. 1 court, her 12th singles win of the season.
- Abby Nugent used a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 3 court to clinch the win for the Musketeers at 4-0. Blessing Nwaozuzu took the 6-1, 6-2 win on the No. 6 court to stretch the lead to 5-0 in favor of the Musketeers.
- Anna Roggenburk won on the No. 2 court, 6-1, 6-3, to make it a 6-0 Xavier advantage, marking her team-high matching 14th singles win of the season. Emily Flowers sealed the 7-0 sweep with a come-back 3-6, 6-2, 10-3 win on the No. 5 court, her 13th singles win of the season.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
