Musketeers earn fifth league title and bid to NCAA Championships in program history
The Musketeers, the No. 1 seed in the tournament with an undefeated record against BIG EAST teams this season, battled back after dropping the doubles point, taking four of five singles decisions on the way to the win. Abby Nugent clinched the match in a third set on singles court No. 3, her third match-clinching point of the tournament, to earn BIG EAST Most Outstanding Honors.
With the win, the Musketeers, now 19-5 on the season, earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, Xavier's fifth appearance in the national tournament. The Musketeers await the NCAA Championship Selection Show, set for Monday, April 29, at 6:30 PM on NCAA.com.

In doubles play, DePaul picked up the first decision, a 6-4 win against Imani Graham and Anna Roggenburk on the No. 1 court, and then clinched the point with a 6-4 win against Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton on the No. 2 court to take the 1-0 lead.
Imani Graham pulled the Musketeers even at 1-1 with her 14th singles win of the year, taking No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
The Blue Demons pulled back in front 2-1, with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Sofia Mazzucato on the No. 5 singles court.
The Musketeers responded on the No. 2 court, with Anna Roggenburk taking a 7-5, 6-3 win, her 19th of the season, to pull Xavier even at 2-2.
Abigail Siminski battled to her ninth-straight singles win, taking the No. 4 singles court, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, to put the Musketeers in front for the first time, 3-2.
With two courts remaining, Abby Nugent took the No. 3 court in the third set, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, to clinch the match for the Musketeers at 4-2.
