Musketeers and Tigers face off at 2 PM at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis is set to host Tennessee State on Sunday, April 7, set for a 2:00 p.m. start at Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility.

Xavier will celebrate its senior class following the match.

GEORGETOWN INFO

Tennessee State is 4-16 on the season, and 1-1 Horizon League play.
The Tigers went 10-15 overall last season with a 6-4 record in Horizon League play. The Tigers fell to Youngstown State in the Quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
Xavier is 1-0 against TSU after taking a 4-3 win in Knoxville last season.

LAST TIME OUT

Xavier men's tennis wrapped up the weekend on the east coast, falling the Navy, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon.
The Midshipmen took the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Marco Pennelli and Kyle Totorica on the No. 3 court and then clinching the decision on the No. 1 court.
Navy made it a 2-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-3 win on the No. 3 court against Marco Pennelli and extended the lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win against Pascal Mosberger on the No. 2 court.
Charlie Temming picked up a point for the Musketeers on the No. 4 court, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2, but Navy clinched the match with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Ryan Cahill on the No. 1 court.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Xavier wraps up the regular season with a trip to a pair of BIG EAST opponents next weekend, facing Marquette on Friday, April 12 in Milwaukee, before facing DePaul on Saturday, April 13 in Chicago.
The Musketeers will then travel to Cayce, S.C. for the BIG EAST Championships, set to begin on Friday, April 19.

THE MUSKETEERS

Xavier returns six letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season at 12-9 overall.
The 2022-23 season marked a second-straight season with 12 wins, the first time the program had back-to-back 10-plus win season since the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
The Musketeer returners include Ryan Cahill, Pascal Mosberger, Marco Pennelli, Jorge Santamaria, Charlie Temming and Kyle Totorica.
Xavier also added a pair of freshmen, Alex Adamec and Cristian Gonzalez.
