Musketeers face Flyers at 2 PM on Saturday at Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis celebrates Senior Day on Saturday, April 6, hosting the Dayton Flyers at the Jim and Mary Brockhoff Family Tennis Facility, set for a 2:00 p.m. start.
Following the match, the Musketeers will honor seniors Imani Graham and Blessing Nwaozuzu, as well as redshirt-senior Anna Roggenburk.

DAYTON INFO
- The Flyers are 7-8 on the season with a 1-0 record against A10 schools.
- UD went 8-13 overall and 2-4 in A10 play last season. The Flyers fell 4-0 to Davidson in the first round of the A10 Championship.
- Xavier has won 21 straight against the Flyers after taking a 7-0 win in Dayton last season.
WEEKLY AWARDS
- After extending her singles win streak to 13 matches, Xavier women's tennis' Sofia Mazzucato was named the BIG EAST Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
- Mazzucato, a freshman from Houston, Texas, now has a team-best 14 singles wins for her rookie season after going 2-0 over the weekend.
- Against No. 57 VCU, Mazzucato took a 6-3, 6-1 win in the No. 5 spot to help Xavier to a 4-1 win. Against ETSU, Mazzucato picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 4 spot to pick up a point for the Musketeers and keep her win streak alive.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
- Xavier wraps up the regular season with a trip to a pair of BIG EAST opponents next weekend, facing Marquette on Friday, April 12 in Milwaukee, before facing DePaul on Saturday, April 13 in Chicago.
- The Musketeers will then travel to Cayce, S.C. for the BIG EAST Championships, set to begin on Thursday, April 18.
LAST TIME OUT
- Xavier women's tennis fell to ETSU, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon.
- In doubles play, ETSU took a 6-2 win on the No. 1 court against Anna Roggenburk and Imani Graham, and then a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court against Abby Nugent and Ellie Brotherton to clinch the point.
- In singles play, Xavier took a 6-2, 6-4 win on the No. 4 for Sofia Mazzucato, her 13th-straight singles win.
- ETSU picked up wins on the No. 1 court, 6-2, 7-6 (1), against Imani Graham, on the No. 2 court, 6-0, 6-3, against Anna Roggenburk, and a 6-4, 6-1 win over Ellie Brotheton on the No. 6 court to set the final score at 4-1.
THE MUSKETEERS
- Xavier returns six from last year's squad that brought home the program's third-straight, and fourth overall, BIG EAST Championship and earned Xavier's fourth bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The 2022-23 Musketeers finished the season 14-8 overall with a 6-0 record against BIG EAST opponents.
- Among Xavier's returnees are 2023 BIG EAST Player of the Year, Imani Graham, and BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Abby Nugent.
- Anna Roggenburk, Blessing Nwaozuzu, Emily Flowers and Abigail Siminski also return for the Musketeers.
- Xavier added a pair of freshmen, Ellie Brotherton and Sofia Mazzucato.
- The Musketeers also added Elizabeth Pendergast, a transfer from Cincinnati, who joined the program in the 2024 spring semester.
