CINCINNATI - Xavier outdoor track and field travels to the BIG EAST Championships on May 10-11. The two-day meet is being held at Jumbo Elliott Track at Villanova Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier wrapped up action at the Clark Wood Invitational on April 27. The two-day meet was held at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park.

• Amy Prugh had the highest finish on the women's team, placing ninth in the 1,500-meter run (4:35.13). Alaina Sullivan posted the seventh fastest time in school history in the 400-meter dash (59.32).

• Liam Willman posted the seventh fastest time in program history in the 200-meter dash (22.41). Brock Harris had the highest finish on the men's team, placing 11th in the 400-meter dash (49.35).

NOTABLES

• The Xavier women combined to record eight top-10 performances in school history during the 2023 outdoor season, highlighted by two school records by Claire Sievern. She set the school record for the 1,500-meter run (4:24.46) and the 800-meter run (2:05.84).

• The Xavier men combined to record 12 top-10 performances in school history during the 2023 outdoor season, highlighted by Trevor Nolan who set the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (8:52.30) at the BIG EAST Championships on May 12.

• Trevor Nolan and Claire Sievern both competed at the 2023 NCAA East Regionals on May 25-26 in Jacksonville, Fla.

• Xavier has sent student-athletes to the NCAA Regionals in back-to-back seasons (Rachel Butler competed in the 10,000-meter run on May 26, 2022).
