ATHENS, Ohio- The Xavier Musketeers lost in straight sets, 25-14, 25-23, 25-23, to Wright State in the third game of the weekend for the volleyball team. Both teams battled in the final two sets, with either only leading by as much as four.

The Musketeers drop to 0-3 (0-0 BIG EAST on the season while Wright State improves to 2-0 (0-0 Horizon).

Notables

Margo Kemp continued a stellar debut weekend with six kills and three blocks while hitting .313.
Xavier recorded seven team blocks while the Raiders only tallied two.
Freshman Kelsey Niesen made her first appearance in the libero jersey to record 10 digs.
Emma Grace and Elouise Czajkowski each added eight digs to pace the back court.
Sarah Stevens hit .333 with no errors alongside her four blocks.
Logan Flaugh dished out 23 assists.
Kasey Quenichet recorded a dig in her first career appearance.
