ST. LOUIS - The Xavier volleyball team dropped their first match at the Billiken Invitational, 3-1, to Illinois State. The Musketeers battled off three match points after falling behind by as much as six points in the final set.

Xavier falls to 0-4 (0-0 BIG EAST) while the Redbirds improve to 2-3 (0-0 MVC).

Margo Kemp recorded a career-high 12 kills on a .391 hitting percentage.
Emma Grace recorded 12 kills and 21 digs for her 12th career double-double.
Anna Taylor also tallied 12 kills including the 500th of her career.
Logan Flaugh dished out 44 assists along with nine digs.
Charlotte Moriarty matched her career-best eight kills and recorded nine digs with two aces.
Lucia Corsaro added 11 digs and Elouise Czajkowski tallied a career-high 10 to hold down the back court.
