The Musketeers defeated the Purple Aces, 2-0, at Corcoran Field

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer posted its third straight shutout on Tuesday night, defeating Evansville, 2-0, in non-conference action at Corcoran Field. The Musketeers improve to 4-2-3, while the Purple Aces drop to 4-5-1.

Xavier returns to BIG EAST action at DePaul on Saturday, Sept. 28. First touch is set for 3 p.m. ET from Wish Field.

NOTABLES

Xavier has now won three straight matches over the Purple Aces. The win is the Musketeers first over Evansville in Cincinnati since Aug. 26, 2016 (W, 3-1).
Xavier has posted 22 shutouts in 46 matches coached by John Higgins.
