Hoyas top Musketeers, 3-0, at Shaw Field

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Xavier men's soccer dropped a 3-0 match at No. 13 Georgetown on Saturday night at Shaw Field.

The Musketeers move to 5-6-3 (1-4-2 BIG EAST), while the Hoyas improve to 10-3-3 (6-0-1 BIG EAST).

NOTABLES

Georgetown held a 19-3 advantage in shots and took nine more shots on goal (10-1). The Hoyas also took seven more corner kicks (10-3) than Xavier and committed four more fouls (9-5).
Xavier was limited to a season-low three shots. The last time the Musketeers were held to three shots was on Sept. 1, 2023 at No. 5 Marshall (L, 3-0).
Xavier was shut out for only the third time this season and only the second time in BIG EAST action.
Harun Bakaran, Cooper Forcellini and Gun Ha Lee all took one shot in the match. Bakaran took Xavier's only shot on goal.
Jonny Mennell (5-6-3) took the loss in goal, making seven saves and allowing three goals.
Jonny Mennell now has 148 career saves, ranking ninth all-time at Xavier.
Xavier moves to 2-5 all-time when playing the Hoyas at Shaw Field.
