Volleyball Wins 10th Straight Match

The Musketeers swept Georgetown to improve to 11-0 at home and pick up their 10th straight win.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team won their 10th straight match and the third by way of sweep to improve to 22-2 on the season.
The Musketeers' 22 wins are the most in a single season under Head Coach Christy Pfeffenberger.
XU improves to 11-0 on their home floor with two matches remaining in Cintas Center this season.
The Musketeers and Hoyas battled through a tightly contested first set before XU took advantage of a late 6-0 run to make it a 22-18 game in their favor. McKinley Boehm led the way through the opening set, hitting a perfect 4-for-4 with two blocks as XU took a 25-20 victory.
Charlotte Moriarty and Anna Taylor each tallied five kills in the second set to help Xavier hit .361 in the frame en route to 25-22 set two win.
XU's offense erupted in the final set, hitting .455 as the Musketeers led by as much as 10. The Hoyas fought off five match points, but Xavier closed out the game with a 25-19 victory.
Xavier improves to 22-2 overall with an 11-1 league mark while the Hoyas fall to 13-12 and 6-6 in the BIG EAST.

Xavier will head to Providence and UConn next weekend for their final two road games of the season. The Musketeers will face the Friars on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
