Volleyball Sweeps Providence on the Road

The Musketeers won their 11th straight match to improve to 23-2.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team took down Providence in straight sets on the road on Friday afternoon in their fourth straight sweep and 11th straight win.
The Musketeers hit .302 in the match, their seventh match this season above the .300 mark.
Anna Taylor and Quinci Thomas led the Musketeers to a 25-20 set one win with six kills each while the Musketeers combined for a massive 20 kills in the opening frame.
The Musketeer defense was crucial in set two, combining for four blocks to hold the Friars to a .000 clip. After a tightly contested start to the set, Xavier went on a 10-1 run to take a 25-15 win.
XU closed out the final set hitting .345 led by Taylor's six kills to take a 25-21 win.
Xavier improves to 23-2 on the season with a 12-1 BIG EAST mark while Providence falls to 11-15 with a 2-11 league record.
