Women's Soccer Earns a No. 6 Seed in NCAA Championship, Will Host Dayton in the First Round

Musketeers and Flyers set for a 6:30 p.m. start on Saturday, Nov. 15
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's soccer earned a No. 6 seed in the 2025 DI Women's Soccer Championship, and will host Dayton in the opening round of the tournament. The match with the Flyers is set for Saturday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
The No. 22 Musketeers are 15-3-2 on the season, and earned an automatic bid to the tournament after topping No. 10 Georgetown, 2-0, on Sunday in the BIG EAST Championship match in Boyds, Md. The title marked their second BIG EAST Tournament title, also winning in 2019.
Xavier is making its seventh NCAA appearance, also earning a spot in the tournament in 1998, 2000, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. This marks the third time the Musketeers have hosted, also earning home matches in 2021 and 2023.
Dayton is 15-3-3 overall, and earned an automatic bid after winning the Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Flyers are currently on a 15-game unbeaten streak.
The two teams last faced each other during the 2024 season, with the Musketeers taking a 3-0 win in Dayton.
