CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Billi Chambers announced the addition of Morgan Jenkins to the 2026-27 roster on Wednesday.
"Morgan will be a tremendous addition to our roster," said Chambers. "Her size and versatility are exactly what we need to continue to play an up-tempo, positionless style offensively.
"She can stretch the floor with her 3-point shooting ability and battles inside to create scoring opportunities around the rim. Defensively, we fell in love with her physicality and relentlessness the moment we watched her play. We are thrilled that she is joining our program."
The 6-foot-2 guard/forward joins the Musketeers from Higganum, Conn. She played high school basketball at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn., and is currently enrolled in postgraduate school at The Newman School (Boston, Mass.).
Jenkins helped her high school team post a 62-27 record, advancing to the Class A Finals in 2023. She is a three-time NEPSAC Class A All-Star selection and a two-time NEPSAC Class A All-Conference honoree. Jenkins was also a finalist for the 2024-25 NEPSAC Class A Player of the Year and was ranked No. 5 in the New England Class of 2026 by Prep Girl Hoops.
The four-year varsity letterwinner averaged 15.0 points and 14.0 rebounds per game and is a member of the school's 1,000-point club. She posted 44 career double-doubles and two triple-doubles. The multi-sport athlete was also a four-year letterwinner in soccer as a forward.
Jenkins played AAU basketball with the Baystate Jaguars (2023-25) and We R1 UA Rise (2022). She helped the Baystate Jaguars post a 61-33 overall record.
Her father, Brien, played basketball at Rhode Island from 1988-91.
