Men's Basketball Takes On Georgia In Charleston Classic On Friday

Xavier is looking for a second-straight win.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 3-2, take on the University of Georgia Bulldogs, 5-0, on Friday night at 9 p.m. in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic in Charleston, S.C. XU is coming off coming off a 99-69 win over Old Dominion on Tuesday night.
Xavier is making its second appearance in the Charleston Classic. XU went 2-1 and finished runner-up in the 2019 event.

• Xavier sophomore Jovan Milićević grabbed at least a share of the team scoring lead for the second-straight game. He has raised his scoring average to 11.2 ppg.
• Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll, who leads the team in scoring at 15.0 ppg., is the only Musketeer who has scored in double figures in all five games.
• Xavier has used four different starting lineups through five games. Seven different players have started at least two games. Graduate student Tre Carroll and senior Malik Messina-Moore are the only players that have started all five games.

• Xavier's Richard Pitino recorded his 250th career win as a head coach on Tuesday night. Pitino, who was the head coach at New Mexico for the past four seasons, is in his 14th season as a collegiate head coach.
