Women's Tennis Takes 5-2 Win Over Ball State

Next week, Xavier hosts UConn on Thursday March 6, before heading to Louisville to face the Cardinals on Saturday, March 8.
In doubles play, Abby Nugent and Clara Owen picked up a 6-2 win on the No. 1 court, but Ball State picked up wins on the No. 2 court, 6-3, against Emily Flowers and Elizabeth Pendergast, and on the No. 3 court, 7-6 (6) against Madeleine Rexroat and Natalie Smitek to take the point.
Ball State picked up a second point with a 6-4, 6-4 win on the No. 1 court against Elizabeth Pendergast. The Musketeers picked up the remainder of the singles decisions.
Abby Nugent took a 6-1, 6-3 win on the No. 2 court. Madeleine Rexroat picked up her fifth singles win of the season, taking No. 3 6-2, 7-6 (2). Emily Flowers picked up her sixth singles win, a 6-3, 6-4 decision on the No. 4 court.
Abigail Siminski picked up a 6-3, 6-3 decision on No. 5. Clara Owen won her fourth-straight singles match, taking No. 6, 6-2, 6-1.
