CINCINNATI - Xavier women's golf is set for the BIG EAST Championships on April 19-21. The three-day tournament is being held at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C.

The Musketeers are looking to capture their sixth straight BIG EAST Championship.

Xavier posted a runner-up finish at the Brickyard Collegiate on April 8. The two-day tournament was played at Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, Ga.
The Musketeers posted a 36-hole score of 604 (+28), finishing two strokes behind tournament host Mercer (602, +26). The field consisted of 10 teams.
Individually, Isabel Brozena and Kara Carter placed tied for fourth with scores of 149 (+5) to pace the Musketeers.
Since the start of the 2022-23 season, the Musketeers have now posted 12 top-five finishes with four tournament titles and four runner-up finishes.

BIG EAST WEEKLY AWARDS

Kara Carter and Madison Reemsnyder were named the BIG EAST Golfers of the Week on Sept. 25. Carter earns the honors for the fourth time in her career, while Reemsnyder picks up the recognition for the first time her her career.
Isabel Brozena was named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Feb. 27.

NOTABLES

Xavier ranks 85th in the nation in the latest SCOREBOARD / Clippd rankings (April 16), the only team in the BIG EAST ranked inside the top-100. The other conference team rankings: Georgetown (131), Seton Hall (178), Butler (180), St. John's (199) and Creighton (225).
Georgetown's Georgia Ruffolo is the highest ranked golfer in the BIG EAST at No. 326. Xavier has the only other BIG EAST golfers ranked inside the top-400: Isabel Brozena (No. 356), Kara Carter (No. 368) and Madison Reemsnyder (No. 390).
Kara Carter, Erin Kim, Madison Reemsnyder, Darrelyn Webster and Emma Welch were named to the 2023-24 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on July 1.
Carter, Kim, Reemsnyder and Welch were also named 2024 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team selected by College Sports Communicators on June 25.
Madison Reemsnyder won the 2024 Ohio Women's Open on June 13. Emma Welch won the MGA Women's Amateur on July 30 and earned a spot at U.S. Women's Amateur.
Newcomer Isabel Brozena won the Massachusetts Girls Junior Am on Aug. 9. She also won the MIAA State Individual Championship in 2023 and 2024.
Xavier returns four golfers from the 2023-24 roster that captured the program's fifth straight BIG EAST Championship in the spring of 2024.
The Musketeers return two All-BIG EAST performers in Kara Carter and Emma Welch. Carter earned the honors for the third straight year, while Welch picked up the recognition for the first time in her career after taking medalist honors at the conference championship.
Xavier welcomes three newcomers in Isabel Brozena (North Reading, Mass.), Ivanna Flores (Caracas, Venezuela) and Eleanor Hudepohl (Cincinnati, Ohio/Creighton).
Kara Carter has 15 career top-10 finishes. Emma Welch has four career top-10 finishes. Madison Reemsnyder has 10 career top-10 finishes. Darrelyn Webster has two career top-10 finish. Eleanor Hudepohl has 13 career top-10 finishes. Isabel Brozena has four career top-10 finishes.

HISTORY

Xavier won its fifth straight BIG EAST Championship on April 22 at Callawassie Island Golf Club. The Musketeers matched former member Notre Dame for the most BIG EAST Championships in conference history (5). The five straight conference titles is also the most consecutive championships in BIG EAST history.
Since the start of the 2022-23 season, the Musketeers have posted 12 top-five finishes with four tournament titles and three runner-up finishes.
Coach Jenco earned BIG EAST Coach of the Year honors for the fifth time in her career in May of 2023. She also picked up the honors in 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2022.
