Henry, Mancuso Earn All-BIG EAST Honors

Machaela Henry and Lola Mancuso were both named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
NEW YORK - Machaela Henry and Lola Mancuso were both named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team as voted on by the league's coaches. Mancuso earns the honor for the second consecutive year while Henry earns her first postseason nod.
Henry led the midfield this year with 36 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers along with 19 draw controls. She ranked fourth in the league for both ground balls per game (2.40) and caused turnovers per game (1.47). The sophomore also scored seven goals and contributed two assists on the offensive side for the Musketeers.Â
In the win over Gardner-Webb, Henry recorded a career-high six ground balls, two caused turnovers, a goal and an assist. She had a career-high four draw controls against Georgetown and set another personal best with four caused turnovers along with five ground balls against No. 24 Denver. She matched her four caused turnovers again in the program's first BIG EAST win over Butler where she also recorded four ground balls and a goal.
Mancuso earned a spot on the Second Team for the second straight season after another record-breaking year. She led the team this year with 45 goals and 51 points to break her own single season program records in both categories. She also set a new program record with her 22 free position goals and led the league with 1.47 free position goals per game.
The junior rounded out her stat sheet with 27 draw controls, 15 ground balls and six assists for the Musketeers. She ranked fifth in the league with 3.00 goals per game and third with 7.07 shots per game.
Mancuso recorded eight hat tricks on the season, including scoring a season-high six goals in back-to-back games against Gardner-Webb and Wofford. She became the first Musketeer to score 100 career goals in the Wofford game.
The attacker scored five goals against Marquette to go along with two ground balls and two draw controls. She followed up the next game with another five goals against Georgetown, tied for the most single game goals against any BIG EAST opponent. Mancuso led the team in scoring in 11 games this season and is the all-time leading goal scorer at Xavier with 124.
