Xavier travels to St. John's for three-game series this weekend
Wright State took a 4-0 lead after the first, but Xavier tied it up in the top of the second, with Clay Burdette getting on after being hit by a pitch and scoring on a double from Jason Jelic. Isaac Wachsmann's eighth home run of the season brought in Jelic to cut it to 4-3, and Luke Hammond tied it up with a solo home run, his first of the season.
The 4-4 tie held into the bottom of the eighth when the Raiders drove in a pair of runs to take the 6-4 lead into the ninth. Xavier responded with a four-run frame in the ninth, with Jake Lambdin hitting a solo home run and Carter Hendrickson getting on with a double and using wild pitches to move to third and score to tie the game at 6-6. Connor Misch followed with a walk, and Burdette brought him in with his seventh home run of the season, putting the Musketeers in front 8-6. Wright State responded with a four-run bottom of the inning to take the walk-off win, 10-8.
Xavier heads out for the first road series of BIG EAST play this weekend, traveling to St. John's for a three-game series, set to start on Friday, April 11 and run through Sunday, April 13.

- Logan Schmidt entered with two outs and a runner on in the seventh, getting out of the inning with a strikeout. He went 1.1 innings allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits, striking out one.
- Jake Hooker came in for the ninth, going 0.2 innings, allowing four runs, two earned, on two hits and a walk.
