Swimming Announces Lauren Murray as Assistant Coach

Murrary comes to Xavier from Miami (Ohio)
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's and women's swimming added Lauren Murray to the coaching staff as an assistant coach, Robb and Martha Schueler Head Swim Coach Lindsey Niergarth announced ahead of the 2025-26 season. Murray comes to Xavier after spending two years as team manager for the Miami (Ohio) University swimming and diving program.
With the RedHawks, Murray supported the Miami coaching staff by tracking times and performance data for over 20 student-athletes. She also helped organize practices and study halls, as well coordinating team meals and equipment.
During her time as team manager, Murray was also a member of the Women in Sports Leadership Organization in Oxford, Ohio.
Murray has also previously served as an assistant coach for the Orchard Farms Swim Team in Greenville, S.C. from May 2024 to August 2024, helping to manage meets and help develop a program with over 100 athletes.
Prior to serving as team manager at Murray was a student-athlete on the swim team at Miami, earning Academic All-MAC honors for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Murray, who is originally from Greenville, S.C., earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Leadership and Management from Miami University in May 2025. She was named the Spring 2025 Undergraduate Research Award Winner during her time at Miami.
