Volleyball Wins Fifth Straight Match with 3-1 Victory Over Morehead State

Xavier improves to 11-1 after two straight wins over the Eagles.
CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team defeated Morehead State, 3-1, in Cintas Center on Saturday afternoon to wrap up non conference play.
Ava Tilden led the Musketeers to a 25-22 first set win, subbing in while Xavier was down 18-14 and went on to tally six kills in the set.
XU overwhelmed MSU in the second set, holding the Eagles to a .098 clip behind three blocks while the Musketeers hit a combined .353 to take a 25-16 set two win.
The third set saw 15 ties and eight lead changes with Emma Grace racking up eight kills for the Musketeers while MSU's M.E. Hargan had eight of her own en route to the Eagles taking a 29-27 set three victory.
The Musketeers bounced back in the fourth, hitting .353 and recording four blocks on the Eagle offense to close out the match with a 25-19 set.
Xavier improves to 11-1 on the season ahead of BIG EAST play next week while Morehead State falls to 6-5.
 
Xavier will open BIG EAST play next Wednesday as they host Butler in Cintas Center. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
