CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team won its BIG EAST opener in a sweep of Butler on Wednesday night in Cintas Center.

The Musketeers swept the Bulldogs for the second year in a row and improve to 5-0 at home while on a six-game winning streak.

XU hit a massive .321 in the match, their fourth match this season above .300.

Xavier improves to 12-1 with a 1-0 BIG EAST record while Butler falls to 7-7 and 0-1 in BIG EAST.

Emma Grace recorded her third straight double-double and the 35th of her career with 10 kills and 10 digs while hitting .310
Macy Hatkevich had a stellar night with 33 assists, six kills, three digs, two blocks and two aces all while hitting .417.
Charlotte Moriarty also tallied 10 kills and nine digs in the match.
Margo Kemp hit .583 on seven kills and zero errors to go along with two blocks.
McKinley Boehm had three blocks and three kills for the Musketeers.
Kelsey Niesen held down the defense with 15 digs, five assists and an ace.
Elouise Czajkowski contributed seven digs.
The Musketeers were not aced for the first time this season.
Butler was only able to record two blocks against XU, the lowest mark of any opponent this season.
