CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 13-14 overall and 5-11 in the BIG EAST Conference, take on the Providence College Friars, 12-15 overall and 5-11 in the BIG EAST, on Tuesday night in Providence at 7:30 p.m. Xavier won the first meeting this season in Cincinnati, 97-84 on Jan. 10.

Xavier head coach Richard Pitino, a Providence College graduate, and his Musketeers are looking to bounce back from an 80-75 loss on Saturday at Butler.

• Xavier head coach Richard Pitino is a 2005 graduate of Providence College who served as a basketball manager for then-PC head coach Tim Welsh.
• Xavier, 13-14 overall and 5-11 in the BIG EAST Conference, is coming off an 80-75 loss at Butler despite 24 points from graduate student Tre Carroll and 20 points from senior Malik Messina-Moore. XU battled back from a 21-point deficit, getting as close as two points.
• Xavier graduate student Tre Carroll leads the BIG EAST in scoring at 18.6 ppg. and is second in field goal percentage at 50.9 percent. He is second on the team and 11th in the league in rebounding (5.9 rpg.) and first on the team and sixth in blocks (1.3 bpg.).
• Xavier's Tre Carroll leads the BIG EAST in scoring for all games (18.6 ppg.) and BIG EAST games (19.8 ppg.), bidding to become the first XU player to accomplish either feat.
• Xavier sophomore Jovan Milićević has scored in double figures in 10 of the last 11 games, including a career-high 23 points while hitting 5-7 3-pointers vs. Marquette on Feb. 14.
• Xavier's Jovan Milićević is second on the team in scoring at 12.0 ppg. and eighth in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals per game (2.0). He has averaged 14.5 ppg. over the last 11 games.
• Xavier senior Filip Borovićanin leads the team in rebounding (fourth in the BIG EAST at 7.9 rpg.), assists (fifth in the BIG EAST at 4.3 apg.) and assist-to-turnover ratio (first in the BIG EAST at 2.79). He has posted a team-high nine double-doubles (third in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier senior Malik Messina-Moore is second on the team in scoring for BIG EAST games at 14.3 ppg., which ranks 11th in the league. He has scored in double figures in 14 of XU's 16 BIG EAST games, including 20 points at Butler on Saturday.
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST and is 12th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.76; XU has the top two players in the BIG EAST in senior Filip Borovićanin (2.79) and senior Malik Messina-Moore (2.68).
