Xavier Shut Out in Series Opener at Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. - Xavier was shut out in its series opener at Oregon on Tuesday night, falling 10-0 in eight innings at PK Park.
Xavier moved to 5-12 on the year, while the Ducks improved to 13-3.
The Musketeers were shut out for only the second time this season. Xavier was limited to only one hit for the second time this season.
After a scoreless first inning, the Ducks scored five runs on five hits in the second inning to take an early lead. Oregon added runs in the third, fourth, fifth and eighth innings.
The Ducks had 10 more hits (11-1) than the Musketeers and committed one less error (2-1). Xavier left one more runner on base (7-6).
The series finale vs the Ducks is slated for Wednesday, March 11. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. ET from PK Park.
