Charlotte Moriarty and Kelsey Niesen were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Monday, Aug. 31.

Niesen ranks second in the league in digs with 54 total and 4.91 per set. The junior tallied a career-high 27 digs against Ball State Saturday, Aug. 29. She's had a service ace in all three matches so far.

Moriarty ranks second in the league in kills with 43 total and 3.91 per set. She also ranks in the top 10 in the BIG EAST in digs and points through three matches. The Kentucky native had a career-high 17 kills against No. 4 Pittsburgh. Moriarty picked up her second career-high of the season against Notre Dame where she tallied 22 digs.

Catherine Flaharty hit .307 at the Notre Dame Tournament and had 23 kills and seven blocks.

XU is 1-2 overall this season.

Margo Kemp, McKinley Boehm and Macy Hatkevich were named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.

Xavier was picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll.

XU is 1-0 against Campbell last meeting in 1990. The Musketeers won the match 3-1 at home.

The Camels were the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association champions and fell to National Champion Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Campbell was picked to finish fifth in their conference with one addition to the Preseason All-CAA team.

In 2026, Campbell is 1-1, most recently falling 3-1 to Kansas State.

Emma McCartney leads the Camels in kills with 44 total this season, and she ranks in the top five on the team in blocks with 4.0.

Hailey Heytvelt is hitting .405 for a team high.

Saturday's match marks the first time Xavier will face Southern Indiana in program history.

The Eagles are 2-1 with wins over Murray State and Northern Illinois University.

Aysa Thomas and Ashby Willis were named to the All-OVC Preseason Team.
