Matt Zink joined the Xavier Women's Lacrosse coaching staff in January of 2024. ZInk's primary responsibilities for the program are working with the Musketeer defense and handling director of operations duties.
In his first year with the Xavier women's lacrosse program, Zink coached Colby Wasson to BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Musketeers collected a 4-11 record, moving to 2-0 in the series histories with Radford, Presbyterian and Eastern Michigan while picking up the first program win over Detroit Mercy. The youthful Xavier squad out-performed opponents on caused turnovers, 146 to 123, and the goalkeeping staff recorded four games with double-digit saves, one of which led to a single-game program record. Â
