Women?s Tennis Enjoys Success at Akron

Sophomore Emily Tuchscherer was 4-0 in B singles with all four victories coming in straight sets including a 6-3, 6-4 defeat of teammate Jackie Vilines in the final. Vilines went 3-1 in B singles for the Musketeers.
C singles included the same scenario for Xavier as Kate Lohner and Sarah Potts met in the final. Lohner came out victorious with a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of Potts. Lohner finished the Invitational at 4-0 while Potts was 2-1.
Tuchscherer carried over her success from singles into doubles action as she teamed with Lauren Clary to finish 2-0 in B doubles. Clary and Tuchscherer cruised to an 8-1 victory over Miles/Larson of Akron in the finale.
In other doubles action, Vilines and Lohner were 1-1 which included an 8-1 defeat of IUPUI.
The Musketeers return to action on Saturday at the Bowling Green Invitational.
