Musketeers travel to Georgetown for final BIG EAST road match

Xavier leads the all-time series, 6-0
CINCINNATI – Xavier volleyball travels to Georgetown for its final BIG EAST road match on Sunday, Nov. 15. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
The Musketeers enter the contest with a 15-11 record (11-4 BIG EAST) following a three-set loss at Creighton on Friday night. Xavier had its five game win streak snapped in Omaha.
Georgetown dropped a three-set match to Butler on Friday night, moving to 10-19 (4-12 BIG EAST) on the year. The Hoyas have lost four matches in a row, including 12 straight sets.
• Xavier leads the all-time series, 6-0. The Musketeers won the first meeting this season in four sets (23-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-18).
• Xavier hit .477 in the first meeting this year, the second highest single-match hitting percentage in the NCAA this season.
• Kristen Mass led the Musketeers with a .762 hitting percentage, the third highest percentage in the NCAA this year and second highest percentage in school history. The sophomore outside hitter had 16 kills in the match.
• Abbey Bessler had a match-high 21 kills to go along with 16 digs. Sofia Peterson added 12 kills for Xavier.
• The Musketeers close the regular season with back-to-back home matches on Nov. 20-21. Xavier plays DePaul on Friday at 7 p.m. before facing Marquette on Saturday at 7 p.m. on "Senior Night".
