Musketeers travel to Peoria, Ill., for final tune-up before BIG EAST Championships
CINCINNATI – Xavier cross country returns to action at the Bradley Classic on Friday, Oct. 14. The meet is being held at the Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill.
The Xavier women will compete in the Red Division 6K race (32 teams), while the men will participate in the Red Division 8K race (28 teams).

QUOTING ORNER
"Our goals and general race plan won't change much this week on the men's side. Similar to Louisville, this is a fast course, there's great competition for our guys and as long as they race to their fitness level they'll do very well. I'm racing all 12 guys in the varsity race to give everyone an equal shot at earning a spot to BIG EAST. Grayson continues to look great in workouts but I think we'll see a few other guys up near him this weekend like Charlie, Garrett and Aaron."

"Over the past two weeks the women's team has come together during workout sessions better then they have all season. It's been really exciting to see the girls run more aggressive and with more confidence. I think they're starting to see how well they can race when they work together. I still expect Maddie to lead the way with Gina close behind, but there are five other girls that could be within 10 seconds of one another to round out our top seven."
• The Musketeers competed in two meets on Sept. 30 - Oct. 1. Xavier raced at the All-Ohio Invitational on Sept. 30 and the Louisville Classic on Oct. 1, splitting its roster among the two days.
• The Xavier women placed 15th at the Louisville Classic and ninth at the All-Ohio Invitational. The Xavier men placed 31st at the Louisville Classic and eighth at the All-Ohio Invitational.
• Xavier returns to action at the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, Oct. 28. The meet is being held at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City (Bronx).
