"This is a strong win and, in some regard, a program win, as Georgetown is the defending BIG EAST champion and one of the conference's flagship programs. Add in that they ended our season last year and that we have never have won nor scored a goal here, and I think it's a solid, well-earned road win.

I thought we were lethargic in the first half and were lucky to get on the board. After getting off our heels and dodging a few bullets, we certainly attacked well in spurts and came close to making it 3-0 a few times. Our two holding mids and backline were strong today and I thought our juniors and seniors really carried the day by scoring both goals, along with Todd Pratzner's goal line save, and a solid game by Majed Osman.
We have a week before a tough trip to Providence and finish the season with midweek games sandwiched in between league games. This team is growing, has a wonderful culture around it and is starting to grow into the form we will need down the stretch." - Head Coach Andy Fleming

• Last fall also marked Xavier's third straight finish in the top-four of the BIG EAST.
• XU was ranked in the nation's top-10 by the NSCAA for the third time in four years, while knocking of the national No. 1 (Creighton) and No. 2 (Notre Dame) on the road last season. The Musketeers are widely believed to be the first program to ever knock off both a No. 1 and a No. 2 on the road in the same season.
