The forward joins the Musketeers from Virginia Tech

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's soccer head coach John Higgins announced the signing of Osi Onwudiwe on Monday. The forward joins the Musketeers from Virginia Tech.

"I'm delighted to add Osi to the squad," said Higgins. "We were keen to add one more attacking player after the spring season. We have the pace and 1v1 ability we were looking for in Osi. He really impressed us with his personality during the recruitment process and we have no doubt he will fit in quickly on and off the field."

Onwudiwe played in seven matches during the 2025 season for the Hokies, logging 172 minutes. He took seven shots (one on goal). Virginia Tech finished the season with a 7-4-5 record.

The Woodbridge, Va., native played club soccer for Springfield SYC. Onwudiwe was the IAC Co-Player of the Year in 2024 and was named to the VISAA All-State First Team. He was also named a USC All-American and a nominee for Virginia's Sports Illustrated HS Player of the Year and the Gatorade State Player of the Year.
