Senior had a three-point day in road win over Georgetown
NEW YORK – Following a three-point outburst at Georgetown, Xavier men's soccer senior Jalen Brown was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Brown's first goal on Saturday would eventually be the game-winner, while he also assisted on Matt Vasquenza's second half strike in a 2-0 win – Xavier's second straight shutout to begin league action. The three-point match tied a career-high for Brown and was his second match with three points this season (fourth in his career).
The senior from Indianapolis, Ind. has made all eight starts thus far in 2016 and leads the Musketeers with eight points (3g, 2a).
• Xavier (4-2-2, 2-0 BIG EAST) continues its longest road stretch of the season, traveling to Providence to continue BIG EAST action on Saturday, Oct. 1. First touch is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
