The Musketeers posted a 4-0 win at Corcoran Field
CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier men's soccer remained unbeaten on the year with a 4-0 win over Evansville on Tuesday night at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers improve to 8-0-2, while the Purple Aces drop to 2-6-2.
Xavier returns to BIG EAST action at Seton Hall on Saturday, Oct. 10. First touch is set for 2 p.m. from Owen T. Carroll Field.

NOTABLES
- Xavier now has seven shutouts in 10 matches this season. The Musketeers only had four shutouts during the 2025 season.

- The Xavier defense limited the Purple Aces to a season-low five shots. The four goals allowed are a season high by Evansville. The last time the Purple Aces allowed four or more goals in a match was on Nov. 1, 2024 (L, 6-1 at Missouri State).
- Jonny Mennell (8-0-2) posted the win in goal. He recorded his sixth shutout of the season to go along with four saves. Mennell now has a 0.41 goals against average on the season, ranking fourth in the NCAA. Xavier's team goals against average of 0.40 ranks second in the NCAA.
- Jonny Mennell (24-17-16) has a program-best 25Â career shutouts with a 0.97Â goals against average (fourth in school history) and 184Â saves (eighth in school history). His 24Â wins in goal ranks third in school history.
- Hugo Amo (2-6-2) allowed four goals and made seven saves for the Purple Aces. Five different players recorded a shot in the match for Evansville.
- Xavier moves to 4-0-2 in the last six meetings vs Evansville. The Musketeers are now 3-1 vs Evansville at Corcoran Field since the start of the 2000 season.
- Xavier remains unbeaten at 8-0-2, the longest unbeaten streak to start the season since 2022, when the Musketeers started the season at 9-0-5.
