CINCINNATI – Xavier cross country returns to action at the All-Ohio Invitational on Friday, Sept. 30 and the Louisville Classic on Saturday, Oct. 1.

"The men's squad for the All-Ohio will also be a "B" squad, but I think they can be very competitive with the teams that are racing. Cedarville has a great 8K course so as long as the weather cooperates, we should see some great racing out of the guys. Similar to the women's group, each one of the the guys at the All-Ohio are fighting for spots on the line at the BIG EAST Championship."

WOMEN'S OUTLOOK: ALL-OHIO

We have a number of upperclassmen in the lineup that have a lot of racing experience and each of them is racing for a varsity spot during our championship meets."

"For this meet I just want our women's team to compete with the teams around them. We need to be more aggressive then we were at Notre Dame, get out harder and just race without worrying about time or other factors. This will be a great opportunity for our girls to see how they match up against Butler and Marquette when we have a full varsity squad running. I expect Maddie Britton and Gina Genco to lead the way for our team and place within the top 20 overall."

LAST TIME OUT

• The women's team placed sixth at the National Catholic Invite on Sept. 16, while the men placed eighth. Gina Genco took 11th in the 5K race (18:11.60) to lead the women, while Charles Korodi paced the men's team in the 8K race (27th - 26:23.00).
