Eight Musketeer seniors will be honored prior to 1 PM first touch on Sunday
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's soccer (7-4-3; 3-0-1 BIG EAST) looks to continue its four-game unbeaten streak in BIG EAST play on Sunday when the Musketeers host DePaul. Xavier will celebrate Senior Day prior to the match, honoring eight seniors before first touch with the Blue Demons at 1:00 p.m.

- The Blue Demons enter the game at 5-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in BIG EAST play.
- Last time out, DePaul fell, 2-0, to Marquette after the Golden Eagles scored a pair in the second half.
- The loss was the second of BIG EAST play for the Blue Demons, who also fell 4-0 to then-No. 17 Georgetown
- DePaul picked up a win over Creighton and played Seton Hall to a 1-1 draw.
- DU opened the season with a pair of losses to Big Ten teams, falling on the road at No. 23 Northwestern, 1-0, and at Illinois, 2-1. The Blue Demons also suffered setbacks at Purdue, at No. 12 Texas A&M and at Loyola Chicago.
- The Blue Demons earned wins over Akron, Drexel, RV Pepperdine and William & Mary prior to BIG EAST play.
- DePaul is led on offense by a pair of Preseason All-BIG EAST selections in Franny Cerny and Alexa Ben. Cerny has team high's with seven goals and 16 points. Ben has four goals and nine points total.
- Lauren Frasca has played the bulk of the minutes in-frame, collecting 48 saves with 16 goals against. Her record stands at 5-7-1 with three complete shutouts and two shared shutouts with back-up Vanessa Nigg.

- Four games into the nine-game BIG EAST regular season, Xavier stands atop the conference standings with No. 12 Georgetown at 3-0-1 after the Hoyas played Creighton to a 1-1 draw on Thursday afternoon. - Sydney Schembri added to her team-high goals and points against Villanova, with her season total standing at five goals for 10 points. Schembri ranks T-4th in the BIG EAST for goals.
- Schembri's three game-winners leads the Musketeers and tie for the most in-conference. The number ranks 29th in NCAA Division I as of Oct. 3rd.
- Emma Westwater stands at second on the team with nine points on four goals and an assist. Her her tallies rank T-9th in the conference.
- Tori Doss added three points last weekend to match Samantha Dewey for third most on team at six.
- Carrie Lewis leads the team with four assists, ranked T-4th in the BIG EAST for total assists and T-6th in the BIG EAST with 0.29 assists per game.
- Toni Bizzarro ranks third in the BIG EAST in save percentage at .835.
- Bizzarro's total saves (71) rank second in the BIG EAST and 31st in NCAA D-I, through games on Oct. 3rd. Her saves per game (5.46) ranks second in the conference and 54th in the country, as of 10/3.

- Xavier played RV Butler to a 0-0 draw through double overtime in Indianapolis on Thursday evening.
- Toni Bizzarro collected six saves to keep the Bulldogs scoreless, marking her third-straight clean sheet and fourth of the season. Bizzarro's record moves to 7-4-2 on the season.
- Maddie Tierney played the full 110 on the Xavier backline. Andie Kennardand Courtney Lankford also played the full time.
- Xavier was out-shot 8-7 overall and 6-2 in looks on frame, but forced two corner kicks to zero for Butler.
- Kennard and Sydney Schembri each had a pair of looks on-frame to lead the Musketeers.
- The best chance of the day for the Musketeers came in the eighth minute of the second overtime, when Sydney Schembri served the ball into the box from the left side. From just outside the six-yard-box, Courtney Lankford tapped the ball to Emily Burton. From the left side of the six-yard-box, Burton shot for the golden goal, but the Butler goal keeper collected the save.
- The result against Butler is the first for the Musketeers since joining the BIG EAST, moving the overall record to 7-11-3 against the Bulldogs.

WEEKLY HONORS |
- Redshirt-senior Tori Doss and sophomore Toni Bizzarro each earned a weekly award from the BIG EAST Conference on Monday.
- Doss was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after playing a role in both game-winning goals. Doss picked up three points over the weekend, scoring the game-winner against Providence and assisting on Sydney Schembri's game winner at Villanova.
- Bizzarro was named Goalkeeper of the Week after a pair of clean sheets helped Xavier women's soccer move to 3-0 in BIG EAST play for the first time since joining the conference. Bizzarro collected 11 saves through two games last weekend, including an eight-save outing against Providence to pick up the first win over the Friars since 1995. The two shut-out wins adds to Bizzarro's career best marks, bringing her season totals to seven wins with three shutouts.
- Doss and Bizzarro's accolades are the first major weekly awards for the Musketeers in 2017. Four Musketeers have earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll accolades this season. Samantha Dewey picked up the honor in weeks one and two of the season. Andie Kennard was named to the Honor Roll for the week of Sept. 4. Emma Westwater earned the accolade for the week of Sept. 11 and Schembri earned Weekly Honor Roll accolades for the week of Sept. 25.
