Women's Tennis Announces Spring Schedule

Musketeers open dual play at Michigan State on January 19th
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis announced spring schedule for 2018, opening up on January 19 at Michigan State.Â
Xavier is on the road for its first four matches, following MSU with Bowling Green, then traveling to Eastern Kentucky and Indiana on the following weekend.
Xavier opens it's home schedule on February 2 with Lipscomb at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. Xavier then travels up the road to Miami before hosting Butler for it's BIG EAST opener on February 10.Â
The Musketeers will travel to the northeast on February 17-18 to face a pair of tough opponents. Xavier opens up the weekend at Princeton, which features two of the ITA Top 100 players in Stephanie Schrage and Katrine Steffensen. X will then travel to Philadelphia on Sunday to face off with Penn, which finished last season in the top 50 of the ITA team rankings.
Xavier returns home for a pair of home matches with Georgetown and NKU before the Musketeers will head to Orlando, Fla. in early March for a pair of spring break matches with James Madison and South Dakota.
After the trip to Orlando, Xavier will face off with two local rivals, Dayton and Cincinnati, on the road, with it's outdoor opener against Villanova falling in between those matches.
Xavier will play four-straight matches away from home, traveling to Marquette, where the Musketeers will face Creighton then the Golden Eagles on April 7-8. On April 14-15, Xavier will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn. to face South Alabama and MTSU.
Xavier closes out the spring schedule with a home match with Seton Hall and a trip to DePaul before heading to the 2018 BIG EAST Championships, held in Cayce, S.C. fom April 26 through April 29.
