• Butler had its seven-match win streak snapped on Wednesday night, falling in three sets (21-25, 21-25, 20-25) to Marquette.

• Kristen Massa recorded a team-high 12 kills to go along with 16 digs, her sixth double-double of the year. The senior outside hitter added five blocks.
• Xavier had five more blocks (14-9) than DePaul. The Musketeers have posted 10 or more blocks in eight matches this season.
• Xavier leads the BIG EAST in digs (16.50 d/s), while ranking 46th nationally. The Musketeers also rank third in blocks (2.56 b/s) in the conference, ranking 40th nationally in the statistical category.
• Meredith Klare ranks second in the conference in digs per set (4.47), while ranking 36th nationally in total digs (237).
• Kristen Massa ranks sixth in the BIG EAST in points per set (4.05). The senior outside hitter also ranks eighth in kills per set (3.37).
• Alexis Newsome and Lauren Frilling both rank in the top-10 of the BIG EAST stats in blocks. Newsome ranks fourth (1.17 b/s), while Frilling ranks ninth (0.96 b/s). Newsome also ranks sixth in hitting percentage (.341).
• Senior Mackenzi Humm ranks 10th in school history in assists with 1,726. The setter has averaged 5.95 a/s this season.

• Meredith Klare posted a match-high 28 digs against DePaul. The junior libero now has 1,198 digs in her career to rank 10th all-time at Xavier.
• Senior Kristen Massa was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The outside hitter earns the weekly recognition for the second time this season.
• The Cincinnati native led the team in kills (3.73 k/s) last weekend, while adding 2.18 digs per set. Massa hit .254 and added 11 blocks and one service ace.
• Senior Kristen Massa eclipsed the 1,000-career kill mark in the Musketeers' 3-1 win over Albany on Saturday, Sept. 16. She now has 1,014 kills over her career as the outside hitter has averaged 2.59 k/s during her career.
• Senior Kristen Massa was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Massa, a 2015 All-BIG EAST First Team selection, ranked third on the team in kills (292) last season, while adding 47 blocks and 63 digs. The Cincinnati native had 10 or more kills in 16 matches.
• The Musketeers were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Preseason Poll as selected by conference head coaches. The Musketeers finished tied for second in the BIG EAST standings a year ago and advanced to the conference tournament championship match before being defeated by No. 21 Creighton.
• Xavier faces seven teams that participated in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Seventeen of the Musketeers 23 opponents posted a winning record last year.
