Brett Winters, Jack Dykema Both Advance to the Round of 32 at ITA Ohio Valley Regionals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Xavier men's tennis' Jack Dykmena and Brett Winters each picked up three wins over the weekend at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional. Each picked up a pair of wins in the 128-person main draw of singles action, and paired up for a doubles win during the five day event hosted by the University of Tennessee.

Winters, who came into the event seeded No. 32, opened singles action with wins over competitors from Dayton and Tennessee Tech. Winters fell in three sets to Vanderbilts M. Ferreira on Friday.

Dykema collected wins over O. Andersson from Austin Peay and A. Ross from Vanderbilt before falling to B. Lam of Indiana.

Winters and Dykema partnered in doubles, playing in the main flight. The pair opened with an 8-4 win over NKU's Niehause and Murray, but fell to MTSU's Moonen and Edge in the second round.

Connor LaFavre and Matthew Graft also competed, both falling in the opening round of singles play. The two combined to fall to Vanderbilt's Ross and Srabert, 8-7, in a doubles match that went to five tiebreakers.
