BUFFALO, N.Y. – Xavier women's tennis alumna Julie Neville, née Roth, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was 40 years old.
Neville graduated from Xavier in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education and returned to her hometown of Grand Island, N.Y., outside of Buffalo, where she taught fifth grade. She leaves behind her husband, Jim, and four young sons. Additionally, Neville is survived by her parents, Jon and Jean Roth, and brother, Jeff Roth, who also played tennis at Xavier.

Neville also excelled in doubles play at Xavier, competing in the No. 1 doubles position during multiple seasons during her career.
