MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Simen Hestnes scored in the seventh minute to give Xavier men's soccer an early lead, but Marquette battled back for a 2-1 win on Saturday night at Valley Fields.

Xavier dropped to 4-6-5, 2-3-1 BIG EAST with three matches to play, while Marquette improved to 5-7-1 and 3-2-1 in the league with the win.

7' | Xavier 1-0 | Samson Sergi streaked up the right flank, finding Simen Hestnes across the box for the night's first goal. Hestnes one-timed a shot to the back post for his team-leading seventh goal of the season.
68' | Tied 1-1 | Patrick Seagrist scored his fourth of the season from the left side of the box, assisted by Luka Prpa.
77' | Marquette 2-1 | Luka Prpa launched a rocket from the left side of the box, deflecting off Hanley and into the goal for a Marquette lead. The goal was his third of the season.
