Men's Soccer Outshoots DePaul in Tough Home Loss, 1-0

CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer outshot visiting DePaul 12-7, but allowed a goal in the 60th minute of a tough 1-0 home loss on Wednesday at XU Soccer Complex.
Xavier dropped to 4-7-5, 2-4-1 BIG EAST with two matches to play, while DePaul improved to 5-7-3 and 2-3-2 in the league with the win.

60' | DePaul 1-0 | Istvan Wilhelms found the net off a long curling pass from the right flank, heading a shot past XU keeper Colin Hanley from point-blank range. Harry Hilling was credited with the assist on the sequence.
• Xavier outshot DePaul 12-7 overall and shots on goal were even, 3-3.
• The Musketeers also held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
• Colin Hanley made two saves in net.
• Xavier was shut out for the first time since Oct. 9 at Loyola. The Musketeers have been held scoreless six times this season.
• Simen Hestnes, Jacob Goodall and Samson Sergi paced Xavier with two shots apiece.
