Swimming Travels to Kenyon College for Weekend Dual

Men's and women's swim continues the season with a face off against Kenyon College.
CINCINNATI – Men's and women's swim travels to Kenyon Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m. for a dual at the Steen Aquatic Center. Last time out, the Musketeers had a third-place finish on both the men's and women's side at the two-day Akron Invite. The women topped Denison and Cleveland State while the men topped Akron and picked up four top-three finishes.

- This is the Lord's second meet of the season.
- Kenyon had 16 different swimmers take part in at least one relay win last time out, in victory over Carnegie Mellon, Ohio Northern University, The College of Wooster and Ohio Wesleyan University.
- 2019 Division III Swimmer of the Year, David Finch returns for his junior campaign.

WOMEN'S LAST TIME OUT |
- Xavier put a pair of teams in the top 10 of the first race, led by Emily Conners, Clare Bosse, Emily Saugstad and Abigail Garner in seventh place.
- Emma Kauffeld led the Musketeers in the 500 free with a time of 5:15.14.
- Alison Herman led Xavier with a time of 2:08.55 in the 200 IM.
- Emily Conners' time of 23.74 led the Musketeers in the 50 free.
- Emily Conners, Clare Bosse, Emily Saugstad and Abigail Garner led Xavier in the 800 free with a seventh place finish.
- Xavier's women had 110 points at end of the first session.
- Emily Conners, Clare Bosse, Emily Saugstad and Maureen Cummins led off the morning session with a fourth place finish in the 200 free relay, one of two Xavier squads in the top 10.
- Alison Herman led Xavier in the 400 IM, finishing eighth with a time of 4:34.32. Delaney Sprague also scored.
- Taylor Hogan tied for 12th in the 100 fly with a time of 57.76. Lorelei Gaertner also scored for Xavier.
- Emily Conners touched the wall in 1:54.93 in the 200 free to place 12th. Clare Bosse touched just behind her in 13th.
- Lydia Schaeffer scored for the Musketeers in the 100 breast with a time of 1:06.59.
- Brooke Atkins' time of 57.44 led Xavier in the 100 back. Taylor Hogan also finished top-10.
- Xavier's women stood in third place at the end of the second session with a score of 217.5.
- Brooke Atkins, Lydia Schaeffer, Taylor Hogan and Emily Conners led off the final session with an eighth-place finish in the 200 medley relay. Ali Fort, Kelly Harris, Lorelei Gaertner and Clare Bosse touched just behind in ninth place.
- Alison Herman led Xavier in the 200 breast with a time of 2:23.74. Lydia Schaeffer also scored.
- Emily Conners, Clare Bosse, Erin Merke and Maureen Cummins closed out the meet with a time of 3:34.44 in the 400 free relay.
- Xavier finished a score of 368, trailing Akron and Miami (Ohio), but topping Denison and Cleveland State.

MEN'S LAST TIME OUT |
- Christian Thomas, Jon Bernard, Brandon Abboud and Ben Quon led three relay teams in the top-10 of the 400 medley relay, taking seventh.
- Jon Bernard used a time of 1:53.23 to win the 200 IM.
- Christian Thomas led the Musketeers in the 50 free with a time of 21.36.
- Xavier's men' placed three squads in the top 10 of 800 free to close out the first evening, led by Andrew Martin, Jared Ritz, Ben Quon and Jon Bernard's fourth-place finish.
- Xavier finished the first night with 180 points, trailing Cleveland State by just eight.
- Alex Sironen, Brandon Abboud, Jared Ritz and Christian Thomas led off the morning session for the men with a fourth place finish in the 200 free relay, one of two Xavier squads in the top 10.
- Jon Bernard picked up another top-three finish in the 400 IM, placing third with a time of 4:04.06. Will Serad also finished in the top 10.
- Ben Quon's third place finish in the 200 free led a trio of Musketeers in the top 10. Andrew Martin placed fifth and Jared Ritz finished seventh.
- Jon Bernard again led the Musketeers in the 100 breast, placing sixth with a time of 58.12. Bernard led six Musketeers that scored in the event, including top 10 finishes for Roark Lundal and Will Serad.
- Xavier finished the second session in third place, moving past Cleveland State with 391.5 total points.
- Alex Sironen, Jon Bernard, Brandon Abboud and Christian Thomas led Xavier in the 200 medley relay with a fourth place finish, one of two Musketeer squads in the top 10.
- Jon Bernard picked up another top-three finish in the 200 back, placing third. Alex Sironen also finished top 10, tying for eighth.
- Jared Ritz, Ethan Wing, Christian Thomas and Brandon Abboud closed out the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 400 free relay.
- Xavier finished in third place with a score of 663, trailing Miami (Ohio) and Denison, but topping Cleveland State.
