Musketeers host NKU at Eastern Hills tomorrrow

CINCINNATI - Xavier men's tennis picked up its second win of the season on Saturday evening, topping Wright State, 6-1, at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. Xavier returns to action tomorrow at Eastern Hills, hosting NKU at 5:00 p.m

THE MATCH

In doubles, the Musketeers claimed the point with wins in the No. 2 spot, 6-3, for Connor LaFavre and Matthew Graft, while Brett Winters and Jack Dykema fell, 6-3, in the No. 1 spot.

In the deciding No. 3 spot Jan Vrba and Michael Lee came down to tie breakers, taking the 7-6 win to secure the point.

Xavier claimed four singles spots in two sets to secure the win. In the No. 2 spot, Jack Dykema took the win 6-4, 6-4. Matthew Graft took the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 6-0, Connor LaFavre won in the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 6-4, and Jan Vrba took the No. 5 spot, 6-3, 6-4.

Xavier also took the No. 6 spot, with Michael Lee winning in a third set, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.

The lone point for WSU came in the No. 1 singles spot, a 7-5, 6-4 setback for Brett Winters.
