Xavier returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Louisville Classic
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Xavier men's and women's cross country wrapped up action at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, Sept. 28. The meet was hosted by Cedarville University at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

OVERALL
"The racing conditions were really tough today. It was very hot, humid and there is no shade on that course at all. Both of our teams did a good job of keeping a positive attitude, not letting the conditions spoil their race and putting in max effort. I'm glad we raced and took the opportunity but the results didn't determine as much as I would have liked."
Â
WOMEN'S RACE
"I was really happy with the way Sydney Kapral ran today. She hasn't run a cross country race in over a year and she came out and made the best of this opportunity. She looked really strong through the first two miles and held on well over the last two miles to lead our women's group. Sydney has a ton of talent and if she can build well off this race I'm sure she's capable of being in our top-10 come November."
Â
MEN'S RACE
"Our guys got out well during the first 400 meters which was something we really needed to work on. Although they looked fine at the mile mark, the pace was a bit faster than I would have liked for such a hot day. A few of the guys suffered from the fast pace early on in the end but Gabe Warren was able to manage the second half of the race best to lead the men's team. I liked seeing how hard he fought to hold his spot all the way through the finish although he wasn't feeling great because of the conditions."
