Tyrique Jones posts 11th double-double of season
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball fell short at Creighton, losing 77-66 on Sunday afternoon. The Musketeers had three players score in double-figures led by Zach Freemantle's career high of 18 points. Naji Marshall added 15 points foe Xavier with six boards and four assists. Tyrique Jones tallied his 11th double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 boards.
The Musketeers fall to 13-7 overall and 2-5 in BIG EAST play.

- Creighton opened up the competition and went up 7-1 after a deep three pointer to give the Blue Jay's an early lead into the first media timeout.
- Tyrique Jones ended a three-minute scoring drought when Naji Marshall found Jones for the layup under the basket, 10-3.
- After Creighton connected for a triple, KyKy Tandy found Naji Marshall cross court for a deep three pointer, 13-6 at 13:15.
- Out of the second media, Paul Scruggs delivered to Zach Freemantle for a quick jumper 16-8.

- Creighton brought its lead to 13, a layup and a pair of free throws. But Tyrique Jones found Zach Freemantle for the under the basket bucket, 48-37.
- Zach Freemantle came up big on the defensive end, with a huge block into the first media timeout of the half.
- After play was stopped for review, Naji Marshall after the hand-off from Zach Freemantle to get a quick bucket off the inbounds play.
- Jason Carter connected on a bucket in the paint, from Tyrique Jones, 54-43 with 12:55 remaining.
- Out of a Xavier timeout, Paul Scruggs dished the ball with Tyrique Jones finishing with the dunk. On the next possession, Jones found Zach Freemantle for the jumper, 59-48 9:47.
