CINCINNATI – Xavier men's tennis defeated IUPUI, 7-0, on the road Wednesday afternoon. The Musketeers are now 3-3 overall, with all three wins coming in road matches so far this season.

THE MATCH

In doubles, the Musketeers opened the match with a 6-2 victory as Matthew Graft and Shashank Reddy claimed the No. 2 spot. Xavier grabbed the doubles point after Jan Vrba and Michael Lee defeated IUPUI, 6-4. Brett Winters and Srdan Pejic trailed narrowly in the No. 1 spot when the doubles point was decided.

In singles, the Musketeers began with a 6-0, 6-1 win from Aaron Thompson in the No. 5 spot. Xavier grabbed their third point after Graft picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 3 spot. Xavier secured the win with a 6-4, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 spot, courtesy of Jake Zipoli. Xavier continued to dominate in the No. 1 spot when Brett Winters defeated IUPUI, 7-5, 6-4. Pejic picked up a 4-6, 6-0, 10-4 win in the No. 2 spot, and Reddy closed out the match with a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the No. 4 spot.
