In doubles, Xavier took point on wins in the No. 1 spot, 6-2, for Ahmeir Kyle and Kaitlin Ruether, and in the No. 3 spot, 6-4, for Anna Letto and Natalie Moyer, to take a 1-0 lead.
In singles, Xavier pushed the lead to 2-0 with a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 5 spot for Natalie Moyer. Miami cut the Xavier lead back to one, 2-1, with a win in the No. 1 spot over Ahmeir Kyle, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
The Redhawks pulled into a 2-2 tie with a win in No. 6 spot, 6-2, 1-6, 7-5, over Anna Letto. Xavier re-took the lead, 3-2, with a three-set win for Anna Roggenburk, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4). A win in the No. 4 spot for Kaitlin Ruether, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 sealed the win for the Musketeers. The final match, in the No. 3 spot, was a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 win over Rachael Reichenbach.
