Men's Basketball Closes Out Two-Game Homestand Against DePaul on Tuesday Night

Musketeers have won 10 of the last 11 meetings with DePaul.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 17-10 overall and 6-8 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the DePaul University Blue Demons, 14-13 overall and 2-12 in the BIG EAST, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Cintas Center. XU is shooting for its 11th win in the last 12 meetings with DePaul, although that one Blue Demon win came at Cintas Center last season.
Xavier is looking to bounce back from a 64-55 loss to No. 12 Villanova on Saturday. DePaul, coming off a 74-68 win on Saturday over Georgetown in Chicago, also beat Butler 79-66 on Jan. 18 in BIG EAST play and own non-conference wins over Texas Tech, Northwestern, at Iowa, at Minnesota and at Boston College.

• Xavier senior Tyrique Jones leads the BIG EAST and is third in the nation in double-doubles with 19. He has recorded one in nine straight games, one shy of the XU record of 10 shared by Tyrone Hill (1989-90) and David West (2002-03). Jones is on pace to be the first XU player to average a double-double for a season since 2003 National Player of the Year David West did it as senior in the 2002-03 season.
• Xavier's Tyrique Jones leads the BIG EAST (eighth in the nation) in rebounding at 11.4 rpg. Jones leads the BIG EAST (third in the nation) in offensive rebounding at 4.4 rpg. David West is the only XU player to average 11+ rpg. over the last 30 years.
• Xavier's Tyrique Jones earned BIG EAST Conference weekly honors for the third time in February after averaging 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in XU's games at St. John's and vs. Villanova. Jones is on this week's BIG EAST Honor Roll.
• Xavier junior Naji Marshall leads the team in scoring at 16.1 ppg. (fifth in the BIG EAST) and in assists at 3.8 apg. (seventh in the BIG EAST) and is second in rebounding at 6.2 rpg. (10th in the BIG EAST).

• Xavier's Quentin Goodin has 536 career assists, which is fourth on Xavier's all-time assist chart and just 14 assists shy of third-place Tu Holloway (2008-12).
• Xavier freshman KyKy Tandy has averaged 12.7 ppg. for XU's six BIG EAST wins.
